One hour show

Amir Raza Hussain

NOW that he is tired of moving productions and current events, our man about town, Amir Raza Hussain has decided to come back into the glare of the arc lights with a new show. Titled "History of Indian Women," the play seeks to delineate the lives and times of some of the most famous Indian women through the years — both fictitious and mythological. So there is Saraswati, Noor Jehan, Mumtaz Mahal, Indira Gandhi and Phoolan Devi. Said Raza, "The idea is not to provide facts but to give an insight as to what kind of women these were." He said that he had selected the names at random. The one-hour long production has a 55-member cast and grand sets. Those who know Hussain for the maverick he is, claim this will be a sell out. The sceptics prefer to wait.
