The Krishna factor

ONE was a fashion photographer. The other a Harvard professor. But when the two met they discovered that they had a common passion — Krishna. Photographer Robyn Beeche and author Shrivatsa Goswami more than succumbed to the legendary charms of Krishna and his flute. The result is a compelling book called Celebrating Krishna, where Beeche and Goswami have documented the living culture of Vrindavan. Said Beeche, "This book is written for all those who would like to get acquainted with the culture of Vrindavan." Beeche, a former fashion photographer from London gave up her job and came to live in Vrindavan where she is now based. Goswami, gave up his teaching job and came back to the land of his forefathers. He claims lineage to one of the six Goswamis who were disciples of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
