For a native of Vrischika Lagna, will retrograde Jupiter in Eighth from Lagna be harmful in forthcoming Guru Dasa? What are the prospects for domestic happiness and for offspring?

JUPITER in the Eighth need not be harmful here; as Lord of 2 and 5, he aspects the 12th, 2nd and 4th Houses. Full details of the horoscope and balance of Mahadasa and Bhukthi are needed to predict properly. If Jupiter is in the Third Pada of Punarvasu, he will be in Vargottama, giving him strength. Some authorities hold that retrograde Jupiter gives benefits similar to those when he is in exaltation. As regards offspring, the native's wife's horoscope too should be seen.
