A voice from Africa

SHE was Harry Belafonte's leading lady in the 1970s. Quincy Jones invited her to be the African voice in "Roots", but for Letta Mbulu, it's all a chance to discover something new. In the country for a concert, Mbulu said she was convinced that if one walked from Ethiopia directly on the equator, one would reach India and so somehow "there is I feel a deep and mysterious connection between the two."
