When all other major criteria for matrimonial matching are met, is it still necessary for matching by birth stars to be ensured before recommending the wedding?

G. Muthukrishnan, Trichy.

SOME criteria not mentioned in all ancient texts are practised now, including Nakshatra-p-Poruttham. It is necessary that the birth-stars of the boy and the girl do not fall under Siro or Kantha Rajju. Then the horoscopes must be individually examined for longevity, and together for scope of progeny. Maha Dasa-s and Bhukthi-s must be such that they will support the good fortunes of each other, and protect when unfavourable times unfold. These precautions, based on birth-stars, will help a proper match to be recommended with divine blessings.
