Layers of truth

DECEMBER'S Sagittarius New Moon Solar Eclipse and Full Moon in Gemini hit sensitive points triggered earlier this year by transformative Pluto in Sagittarius and karmic Saturn in Gemini. This month's confluence of lunar activity around Saturn and Pluto portend a reinvigoration of issues last stirred by the Saturn-Pluto opposition in May 2002. The Sagittarius New Moon Solar Eclipse occurs on December 4 at 1:35 GMT. The Gemini Full Moon occurs on December 19 at 19:11 GMT.
Use this time to reconsider unresolved issues from the period between August 2001 and May 2002 to see where you need to do more work under the coming Gemini and Sagittarius lunar influences. The potent Saturn-Pluto opposition, which occurs every 35 years, challenged human consciousness to reach for higher potentials during the nine-month long transit of Saturn to Pluto. You will now feel a renewed sense of determination to address the issues raised by these powerful planets. The reason the challenges will feel even more intense during the month of December is because both the Sun and the Moon will traverse Sagittarius and Gemini at the same time, thus triggering the energies of both Saturn in Gemini and Pluto in Sagittarius simultaneously, as was the case during the nine-month opposition between these two cosmic players.
During the coming month, you will feel yourself subtly caught between the extremes of truth and deception. On the one hand, you will feel as if you are telling the generally accepted truth that you have traditionally told. Yet, if you probe deeply beneath the surface, you may find that another truth exists that is anything between slightly altered from the surface truth to diametrically opposed to the prevailing "truth".
The phenomenon you are experiencing has to do with the metaphysical fact that truth exists in three layers. These three layers correspond to the conscious, subconscious and super-conscious minds of human beings. Ideally, all three layers of consciousness in each human being are already completely aligned. Then there would be no discrepancies between thought, word and deed in any mortal being. However, given the imperative of imperfection on the earth plane, there is the inherent potential of inconsistency between conscious, subconscious and super-conscious thought.
The result is the utterance of what seems to be truth to the speaker, but what may seem to be false to the listener. This is because the listener may in fact perceive a different layer of consciousness — either subconscious or super-conscious expressions — in the words of the speaker. This mismatch between layers of consciousness causes a multitude of misunderstandings between individuals, groups, corporations and governments. Miscommunication is easy under the influence of the talkative signs of Gemini and Sagittarius. But adding Saturn in Gemini and Pluto in Sagittarius to the mix will raise many interesting questions about the nature of fact — and fiction.
The answer is that as long as you are aware of the potential of three different layers of reality in your thinking and feeling, you are responsible for representing all of these levels of your truth in your conscious communications. You cannot leave out one piece of your thinking or feeling when you express yourself because you actually are robbing yourself of the experience of wholeness. You actually are splitting yourself into two or three people when you express one part of yourself in favour of another because the unexpressed side then has to live on in your psyche in isolation. The spectre of communicating coherently from three layers of consciousness may seem daunting at a time when it seems difficult enough to communicate from one layer of consciousness. However, without the effort toward holistic communication, you run the potential of creating more problems than you are solving by leaving an aspect of yourself outside of your conscious communications. This month is a period where everyone will be experimenting with alternative means for expanding their communication style. As long as you express as many aspects of your thinking and feeling as you can, even if they appear to be in conflict, you will be on your way to mastering the lesson of expanded communication that Saturn and Pluto are trying to teach.
