Is it true that if Jupiter aspects Kethu in a horoscope, the native will get rich either by hard work or by sheer luck?

THERE is no such authoritative dictum. If Jupiter, Dhanakaraka, is well connected with the Lord of the Lagna and aspects the Second House, generation of wealth can be expected, particularly during Jupiter Maha Dasa. Kethu is Gnanakaraka, and if Jupiter aspects him in a horoscope the native is likely to be benefited in religious and spiritual matters. For a native to acquire significant wealth, the Lords of the 2nd, the 5th, and the11th, as well as Jupiter, should be well placed. The planet ruling the 10th (governing business, profession) should also play a supporting role.
