Target audience

EVEN as his young awe-struck audience listened in rapt attention to the theory of cell division and what it would mean in lay terms, Dr. Timothy Hunt, Nobel laureate from Britain cautioned the little ones "prevention was better than cure".

Hunt's work on cell division has been hailed as a milestone in the area of cancer research. Said he, "Just by knowing what inhibits cell division you cannot immediately cure cancer."

Hunt said that his work might at some point lead to a great discovery in the coming years but cautioned against euphoria. "As more than half the cancers in the world are caused by smoking you should never think of getting into the habit," he told his young audience.
