Do the horoscopes of a boy (Kataka) and a girl (Makara) not match for lack of Rasi Adhipathi-p-porutham, despite Samasapthama?
KHOUSIKAN
K.S. Gopalaratnam, Trichy.
SAMASAPTHAMA (Moon Sign mutually the 7th for bride and groom) is said to be good for matrimony even if there is no Dina-p-Porutham. But texts hold that Kataka-Makara and Simha-Kumbha, do not match despite Samaspathama.
In practice, we find that couples falling within this do live happily. So we need not be put off when Sama Sapthama is of Kataka-Makara, or Simha-Kumbha type.
If there is a preponderance of other factors in favour of matching the horoscopes, this one obstacle need not stand as a block.
