On a new plane
EVEN as rocker Mick Jagger's wife, Jerry Hall, managed to retain her own identity. Being a super model helped but since then she has changed roles with aplomb, handled her divorce with a sense of dignity that is rare and managed to find time to do something different. For Hall turning her attention to the stage was therapeutic. Her role as "Mrs. Robinson", in "The Graduate" was so successful that she got a standing ovation on the first night itself. But that has not stopped her from experimenting and now the 47-year old ex- model is busy shooting for a BBC programme on spirituality. Of course, Hall had to visit India in this context and having heard so much from her ex-husband she was pretty charged up. "The documentary is called `Searching for the Egoless State' and is due to be telecast in September," said Hall. She loved Rishikesh and learnt a lot but it was her meeting with the Dalai Lama that completely bowled her over. While Hall is a regular with yoga and meditation she revealed that her meeting with the Dalai Lama put her "on a different plane altogether."
