CATCHING the moods of the people who live in and around historic Badami has been the preoccupation of Bangalore-based artist J.M.S. Mani for many years now. His simple, direct approach and his use of colour are his hallmarks. He recently moved from the figurative to the abstract, and his newly found symbol (the result of a stint at a meditation camp) is the triangle. The recent works of Mani are on at Gallery Sumukha, 24/10 BTS Depot Road, Wilson Garden, till June 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. For more details, phone 2292230.
