THE Film Discussion Group meets for the discussion and screening of "Fallen Angels" by the Hong Kong director Wong Kar Wai at the Habitat World. Film scholar Ravi Vasudevan will introduce the film and facilitate the discussion. On June 26 at 6:30p.m.

FILM buffs can watch "Venus Beaute Institut" a film by Tonie Marshall on June 24 at 9:30 a.m., June 27 at 11:30 a.m. and June 28 at 11:30 a.m., and 6:00p.m. at the Alliance Francaise. The movie tells the story of Angele, a middle aged beautician who works at the Venus beauty clinic.

BEGINNING on June 25, the three-day festival of Odissi Dance, Drama and Music at the Habitat World brings a plethora of performances, recitals, presentations and musical concerts:
The first evening commences with the award ceremony at 7:00p.m followed by performances at 7:30p.m by the renowned artist Ramahari Das and troupe, Sangeeta Dash, Guru Durga Charan Ranbir, Padmavibhushan Sonal Mansingh.
On June 26, at 7:30p.m are performances by Guru Banamali Moharana and troupe, Leena Mohanty, "Ramayana" by Nrutyana and Patipawan Kala Niketan.
June 27 sees performances, at 7:30p.m., by Abhiram Nanda, Jyoti Srivastava, Guru Pravash Kumar Mohanty, Guru Gangadhar Pradhan on the Flute, followed by the dance-drama "Chandrabhaga" by Nrutyana and Patipawan Kala Niketan.

THERE will be an exhibition of Australian Aboriginal Art at the Visual Arts Gallery from June 26 to July 10. This exhibition of vibrant and exciting works on paper, paintings, ceremonial objects and textiles has been prepared by Artbank, the Australian Government's art rental programme, in conjunction with three arts and crafts associations represented on the Tiwi Islands.
