Alluring Rekha

SHE has always evoked the kind of allure and mystery, as did the super stars of yesteryear. For Rekha, time never stood still though she chose to pick up fewer roles. Her recent performance in Ram Gopal Varma's "Bhoot" have got her rave reviews. However this seasoned actor typically shrugs off the accolades and smiles disarmingly while explaining her philosophy to her work and her attitude to films. "For an actor there is nothing called a different film. There are only different characters. All films are made to entertain that is a common thing, but yes there are different roles that one essays as an actor," said Rekha. Despite the fact that her famous tightlipped responses had much of the media wondering what to ask her next, Rekha went on to praise Varma's directorial caliber and said that working with someone who knew his mind made life easier. She hinted that she was still "waiting for the perfect role- one that would consume me totally". And though the lady said she did not believe in ghosts she did accept the power of something greater than humans. "If I believe in God then I have to accept there is an opposite force too. That definitely helped me to work on my role in the film," she added.
