THE birth centenary of Rukmini Devi Arundale is being celebrated at Kalakshetra by a number of events that showcase all that the founder of the institution strove to promote. Vrinda Mehta, a former student, presents "Ashtayam", a dance drama based on the story of Krishna on August 16. Venue is the Kalakshetra Auditorium at 6.30 p.m.

BOUYED by the response to the screening of German silent classics in April, Max Mueller Bhavan is repeating the programme with another set of films.
