Looking at life differently

"THE DIFFICULTIES of life are intended to make us better, not bitter.'' This perhaps sums up the philosophy of Swami Sukhabodhananda, founder chairman of the Prasanna Trust in India and the Prasanna Yoga Centre in the U.S. He is also the brain behind the Prasanna Foundation in Bangalore, which focusses on the scientific aspects of meditation.

The trust runs Prasanna Jyothi, a home for destitute children and Nirguna Mandir, a centre for meditation and learning.

Swami Sukhabodhananda's programmes and courses are aimed at making his followers realise that life must be treated holistically. Once imbued with positive thinking and confidence, they begin to view failures as stepping stones to success. The Living in Freedom (LIFE) and the Yogic Linguistic Programme (YLP) devised by the Swamiji, use a variety of techniques that foster self-development and, if pursued seriously, could take one closer to self-actualisation. The YLP programme uses powerful methods such as hypnosis, yogic Reiki, Mantra Healing and Meditation-based programming of the sub-conscious mind, besides several NLP techniques that help boost one's self-confidence, achieve success, relieve chronic ailments, cure phobias, help quit smoking, keep obesity in check and enhance intuitive powers.

The next YLP programme is to be conducted in the city from November 16-18 at the Hotel Radha Park Inn, Arumbakkam, Ph: 4757788. For details, contact S. V. Subramaniam — Ph: 8282167 or K. Venkataraman — Ph: 4752295.
