Say it with cards

Sometimes, cards are more effective when it comes to expressing one's innermost feelings; simple statements can link two people instantly across the globe, especially when it is time for celebrations.

Speaking of cards, the SOS Children's Villages of India (SOS CVI) has recently launched a fresh range of greeting cards for the festive season.

Available at more than 1,500 outlets across the country, there are 195 designs to choose from. Of these 157 have been earmarked for New Year and Christmas. Reasonably priced between Rs. 4 and Rs. 11, the cards feature works of such artists as Phalguni Das Gupta and Gopal Ghosh, besides classic Mughal miniatures and other vibrant images from the National Museum, New Delhi.

The proceeds from the sales, for which the SOS CVI has collaborated ITC Greeting Cards Business, will go towards the welfare of children across the country.

The SOS CVI, part of a worldwide movement, since its inception in 1964, has been working towards child care. With 32 Villages and 122 allied projects, the organisation cares for more than 15,000 abandoned and destitute children.
