And this is what the `art of living' is all about, according to Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji, spiritual mentor for thousands of devotees the world over who are fatigued by the discords and tensions of the mundane world. He is the founder of the International Association for Human Values in Geneva, Switzerland, The Art of Living Foundation, U.S. and the Vyakti Vikas Kendra in India.

Those wishing to improve the quality of their lives and inter-personal relationships, their powers of concentration and decision-making abilities will first have to enrol for the `art of living' basic course. It consists of yoga postures, pranayama, techniques to build self-awareness and most important, the performance of Sudarshan Kriya.. Through simple processes the `Art of living' course opens up avenues for one to traverse beyond thoughts and emotions. Spread over 18 hours scheduled conveniently over six days, the programme is held at the premises of the Vyajti Vikas Kendra, Atma Gnana Nilayam, 33, Kalakshetra Road, Lakshmipuram, Thiruvanmiyur.

For a glimpse of wisdom and eternity, Chennai-ites who have taken the basic course, can witness a Maha Sudarshan Kriya to be performed on December 24.at 4.00 p.m. under the guidance of Sri Ravishankarji. This will be followed at 6.30 p.m. by a session of meditation and blissful singing.
