Yatra for peace
FOR KRISHNA devotees, here's an opportunity to pull the rath of Lord Jagannath and seek his blessings. The annual Jagannath Rath Yatra of ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) will be held on January 15.
It will start in front of Hi-Style, II Avenue in Anna Nagar and will proceed to the Kuchalambal Kalyana Mahal via new Avadi Road and Poonamalee High Road, where cultural programmes will be held.
His Holiness Emperumanar Jeer Swamigal of Tirukovilur will inaugurate the yatra at 2.30 p.m., while K.N.Lakshmanan, Member of Legislative Assembly, Mylapore constituency and V. Rajaraman, Secretary, Tamilnadu Legislative Assembly will participate in the function.
Senior spiritual leaders of ISKCON will address the gathering and deliver discourses on the Bhagvad Gita at the Kuchalambal Kalyana Mahal, Chetpet.
This year's yatra is dedicated to `global peace and welfare'. So, join the Rath Yatra if you want to experience the joy of Krishna Consciousness.
