Glassful of protein

THE HEALTH benefits of soy have been known to the Eastern cultures for centuries. Recent scientific studies have in fact, confirmed that soy is a rich source of protein and its daily consumption can lower cholesterol, blood pressure, reduce risk of heart disease and cancer

Tofu, cottage cheese (paneer) made from soymilk, has all the nutritional advantages and is purse-friendly. It can be mashed, blended, boiled, sautéed, barbecued or fried.

For the first time in India, soymilk is being manufactured, using the state-of-the-art processing technology by Prosoya Inc. Canada. The advanced technique gives the milk an incredibly smooth and creamy texture with no bean flavour.

Fresh and Honest Café Ltd., a company in the Sterling Infotech Group, has brought this technology to India. The products are supplied fresh from their manufacturing plant located near Chennai.

A 100 per cent agro product with no preservatives, soymilk can be used like milk - boiled or used to make curd. This curd can be used like dairy curd for marinating foods and thickening gravies.
