If glamour is the name of the game, then pearls and diamonds can't be far behind. Enter the world of Diva, Tanishq's latest collection where sensuous pearls meet dazzling diamonds...
The looks that embody the creations range from soft and poetic to indulgent and luxurious. A classic partnership, the luminous quality of pearls enhances the intricately set diamonds in a subtle way. Be it the coordinated neckpieces or the assorted creations, the designs are chic. And in keeping with the trend, some of the pieces sport the rhodium plated white look. "White gold is in - in a big way. And particularly the youngsters are taking to the trend," asserts a spokeswoman.
Unravelling Diva at the Tanishq showroom on Dr. Radhakrishna Salai, Y.L.Saroja, senior manager, sales and marketing, said, "Pearls and diamonds come together in styles that appeal to modern women. Innovative techniques have been used for the settings so as to bring out the brilliance of diamonds and soft shades of pearl." For instance, in some creations, the pearls are set in a recessed manner, thereby making the silhouettes visible through the intricately crafted gold. The 50-odd designs are mostly lightweight and comfortable to wear. The prices range from Rs. 2,000 onwards. Pretty pendants and finger rings are sure to make exciting gifts for the Valentine season. Aren't diamonds an enduring symbol of love?
Besides Diva, the other attractions at Tanishq (Dr. Radhakrishna Salai and Anna Nagar) include the contemporary white gold range and a collection of 22-karat gold jewellery and gems encrusted creations. The white gold neckpieces sprinkled with diamonds are sleek and elegantly styled - perfect examples of the range's more youthful attitude.
