Connoisseurs of art can get to see paintings and sculptures by eminent Indian artists at the Russian Cultural Centre. The works by these Chennai-based artists are to feature in a show at Lyons, France.

THE FORUM art gallery is presenting an exhibition of paintings and sculpture at Le Salon de Printemps 2002 of La Societe Lyonnaise des Beaux — Arts, Lyon, France.

The Societe Lyonnaise is a 114-year-old organisation that prides itself in promoting talent from all over the world.

An eminent panel of trustees takes care of the selection and display.

More than a hundred artists from all over the world are invited to take part in the annual exhibition.

Paintings and sculptures by seven Indian artists have been selected for Le Salon de Printemps 2002, which will be on view from March 8 to April 1 at Lyons, France.

However, before the works are despatched, they will be on view at The Russian Cultural Centre, Chennai. The artists are A.V. Ilango, Shalini Biswajit, Lakshmi Srinath, Reena D. Kochar, Thejo Menon, B. Swapna Reddy and Rajny Krishnan, all from Chennai.

The show is to be held at the "Russian Cultural Centre", Kasturi Rangan Road, from January 31 - February 2, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
