Elegant creations

BLIND LOVE, on Nimmo Road, Santhome, has now diversified into Indonesian furniture, of an unusual kind. Made primarily of teakwood, some chairs come with cane base or plaited leatherbacks and base. Thick cane, with an antique parchment finish, has been used to embellish beds and footrests. Thick plaited cane boxes lined with wood come in handy to store bed linen and other articles. They make good drawing room centrepieces too.

Oriental patterned limestone bases support wood console tops, or huge dining tables. Cane or leather chairs can be teamed with these. Roundwood tables can be used for a variety of purposes. Rustic looking wood and rope frames with mirrors and some framed art pieces too have been imported, as part of the collection. Each lot of imported furniture will be unique, say the owners.

Be it a single chair or an entire set, the range of furniture is guaranteed to give a touch of exclusivity to interiors. Besides, one does not have to go abroad to shop for furniture. The exhibition-cum-sale is from February 1-3 at the outlet (Ph: 4935303).
