`ELLE'MENTS', a group of like-minded women, have come together to exchange ideas and knowledge and improve their quality of life. The group meets once a month at the Park Sheraton Hotel and invites speakers who share their experiences. To mark International Women's Day (March 8), two women, who are achievers in their respective fields - Renuka Choudary -MP and Anita Ratnam - Danseuse have been invited to speak.
"New Horizons for Women", a seminar, also to celebrate Women's Day, will be held at the Andhra Social and Cultural Association at Vijayaraghava Road, T. Nagar. While Dr. Udhayamurthy, Dr. Jayam, Ms. Parameswari and Ms. Kadambari will present papers, Mrs. Shanthi Ranganathan of the T.T.K. Hospital will deliver the keynote address. An exclusive line-up of women-centric films such as Coyote Ugly, Step Mom, Boys Don't Cry, Erin Brokovitch etc. will be screened as part of the "Stayfree Femme Film Fest 2002." The fest (March 8-14) organised by Events will be held at Woodlands Symphony at 1.00 p.m., 4.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m.
