Comfy and classy

OVER THE years, the concept of a "perfect house" has changed a lot. Choice of interior accessories and furniture has come to assume great importance. Gone are the days when just a cluster of chairs and sofas would fill up the drawing room. The idea of designer furniture is now much in vogue.

Though many now opt for cane and ethnic furniture, classy and posh-looking leather furniture are preferred by many even to this day. Designo, one of the leading designer furniture stores in Bangalore, provides exquisite, custom-designed leather furniture.

Designo's exclusive showroom houses a wide range of leather luxury interiors that successfully fulfil the demands of both home and work place. Celebrating one year of its success, Designo has made new inclusions to its already existing vast range of products.

To start with, the shop has a wide range of sofas, which are available both as single pieces and as sets. These leather sofas are handcrafted to perfection. They come in around 40 colours. Burgundy, beige, steel grey, blue, or white, one can choose the colour to match the ambience of one's room. Some of the sofas are of fine leather, soft and durable at the same time. Zebra-striped single seats, and the spotted and rugged sofas have a sporty feel.

A very interesting feature here is that styles of designing have been categorised keeping in mind the dynamics of furnishing tastes. For instance, the designs spread across from the Victorian to contemporary. And in order to give the customer that ultimate comfort and feel, the shop makes use of genuine Italian leather, which has a porous structure that does not just absorb, but also dissipates moisture.

The exclusive leather textures include Classic (from North America), Pibroch (of European origin), Montana (from Sweden) and Satin (of North European origin).

Chesters have been favourites from the times of kings and queens, and the range at Designo adapt well for home and official use. Fitted with antique studs, chesters come in brown and matt blue. They can be matched with footstools.

A particular revolving chair, named Godfather, is attractive. Carved on the edges, the wood is combined with beautiful royal blue upholstery to give it an elite British look.

Offices and corporate firms form a major market for furnishing houses, and Designo has some of the big names such as GE, Oracle, and Mistral in its list of clients. In fact, the shop's office and lobby range is immense. Formal styles for the private office, the lounge, the conference room, or even for cubicles are available here. The leather seats are comfortable for long hours of work. Their shape and colour add to the sophisticated, business-like look of the cabin. These come in blue, brown, red, green, and black.

After a hard day's work, nothing can be more soothing than stretching on a cozy leather recliner or even better, a beanbag. Beanbags are in great demand these days. Their compact look and easy seating has got many to buy them, despite their high price. Designo uses one of the softest leathers available for its beanbags.

Designo has now introduced a new range of European sofa styles and a collection of coffee and cocktail tables. These coffee tables can be placed anywhere in the room. These tables come in ornate and simple designs and have both aesthetic and utilitarian value.

High seats, couches, floor cushions, bar stools, and leather accessories are some of the other items that one can look out for at Designo. Leather upholstery work for furniture is also undertaken here.

Designo can be contacted on 2998896 or 98440-98397.
