Art award

K. PRASHANTH, a third-class student from Kendriya Vidyalaya Visakhapatnam, has been selected for the National Award for his painting on Ratha Yatra at 10th All India Children's Painting competition held in December 2001. The competition was organised by Vijay Information Fine Arts Academy, Hyderabad founded by K. Sunder Kumar, Asst. Professor, J.N.T.U. College of Fine Arts. Seventy-one schools and junior colleges participated in the competition. A panel of three judges awarded the prizes.
