Summer stakes are high

THE WEATHER may have just turned warm but it's already blazing hot on the cola battlefield. Fardeen Khan and Rahul Khanna scored a point for Pepsi with their portrayal of two beachcombers in search of a job.

Then Aamir hit back for Coke with his `thanda matlab Coca Cola' line. Before this even had time to register, Pepsi replayed the Fardeen Khan-Rahul Khanna sequence with the new catchline, `business thanda, matlab cola'. With every neighbourhood tender coconut stall now selling bottled drinks, it looks as if the millions our stars are going to earn from this particular form of advertising can only climb higher and higher.
