What do children do when they meet their heroes, particularly cricketers? Take autographs and this is what a few lucky ones did when they met Virendar Sehwag, the latest brand ambassador for Coca Cola.

THE ADULATION with which they looked at their hero was evident in the way the few children gathered at the Deccan Pavilion, ITC Kakatiya Sheraton Hotel and Towers took his autographs. Dressed casually in a Coca Cola T-shirt and jeans with his shades resting on his head, Virendar Sehwag took time off to visit the city of pearls for a few days on a promotion drive. The latest brand ambassador of Coco Cola was busy at various venues endorsing the drink.
The coffee shop of the hotel bore a red look all over - banners flashing the thanda matlab... drink. First things first. Sehwag gladly obliged the children with autographs. The `master blaster' then decided to dig into breakfast at well past 11a.m. While he tucked in the goodies, it was a strict no-no for children to venture anywhere near his table. While some left, few stayed behind.
Sehwag decided for a change in pitch. While he took a break for a while, the little ones waited patiently. They were later escorted to Rani Rudramba's court before he put in his reappearance. Too shy to fire questions, they just lined up and posed for a photograph. While some recognised him as the `uncle whom they have seen on TV', the others were just happy to be near him for a few minutes with absolute glee on their faces. In between the photo session Sehwag managed to ask two children their names much to their joy.
The youngest of the lot even presented him with a small black ball and unfortunately she had left the bat she wanted to present in the car. But one child was so confused with the cricketer's name that he bid goodbye to Sachin Chopra.
Photo session over and Virendar Sehwag sauntered out of the lobby perhaps to another destination.
