The Father

Mehrollah, a 14-year-old boy who is forced to provide for his family after the death of his father, looks for a job. He travels to the southern parts of the country. Upon his return to his hometown, he notices certain changes in his family.

Hessam has to travel abroad for medical treatment. His wife, Sara, pays for the trip, explaining the money has come from the wealth she inherited from her father. Hessam returns home after successful treatment. Meanwhile, Sara is trying hard to repay her debts by taking up the job of a tailor. Goshtash, the man who has given financial assistance to Sara, is accused of having forged documents. He asks Sara to make her husband, now a bank manager, to help him keep his job. Sara knows that her father's signature on documents is forged; to help her husband, she had no other go. When Hessam learns the truth, he gets into an argument with Sara...
