FASHIONABLE WOMEN in the 17th and 18th centuries contrived towering heads of hair adorned with vegetables, fruit, feathers and even vases of flowers. Many women sat up all night dozing in chairs rather than spoil their headpieces by lying in bed.
Today, hairstyling in contrast to the bygone era is more simplified and practical. Hairstyling has come a long way. Keeping in with the monsoon, long hair could be scooped up but the essence of the style is to allow lots of strands to fall in soft curls around the face. .
