NDTV to have separate channel

PRANNOY ROY'S public appearance on August 19 at the Taj in Mumbai, to deliver the Subhash Ghoshal Foundation

Lecture, 2002, created quite a stir in the star-struck city. The speech was full of humour and realistic comment on the present state and dilemmas of the television news media. Aware of the intense speculation about NDTV's plans after their parting ways with STAR, Roy said that 'NDTV is about to launch a channel in March.'

As the chief executive officer of NDTV, Roy was obviously seeking to put an end to ongoing rumours that

NDTV was negotiating to supply content to either Time AOL or Zee News. However, Roy was unwilling to give details of the revenue-and-content plan of his soon-to-be launched television news channel.
