Cashing in on cricket
THE ENDORSEMENT controversy may have got cricket boards and players in a knot, but the current cricket season is still great fodder for youth channels on TV. MTV India is presenting MTV Full Toss, a series of short, sharp cricket trivia ranging from 'What is the width of a cricket bat?' to 'What is Anil Kumble's pet name?'
The series is sponsored by Eveready, and can be seen on MTV all through the day, daily. Cyrus Oshidar, the music channel's VP Creative, says that 'MTV India continues to build its bridges with young Indians and their passion for cricket. First it was 'Cricket In Control' which was a huge success. This cricketing season, we bring back MTV Full Toss for a second season... tune in and enjoy!'
