'Kitty Party' begins with a spat

NOT JUST Ekta Kapoor, but just about anybody makes serials beginning with the letter 'K' or so it seems. Numerology has made Manish Goswami change the spelling of his new soap 'Kitty Party' to 'Kittie Party'. Both Goswami and producer Asit Modi of Neela Telefilms had registered the title 'Kitty Party' with the Association of Motion Pictures and Television Programme Producers (AMPTPP). The daily soap about eight women began on Zee TV from August 19 at 10 p.m. Written by Shobha De, the serial began with a controversy, as Asit Modi of Neela Telefilms ('Hum Sab Ek Hain'/' Yeh Duniya Hain Rangeen') said the title 'Kitty Party' was registered by him with AMPTPP in 1999 and that it belonged to him. Goswami countered that he, too, had registered the title in 1999.
