Accent on comfort

At an exhibition-cum-sale at Seating World, Kilpauk, one can choose from an arresting variety of furniture for both homes and offices. On till September 2.

IT OPENS up a world of contemporary elegance and comfort in furniture forms.

Seating World's furniture line displayed at an exhibition-cum-sale to celebrate the outlet's first anniversary compels attention.

The range includes comfortable sofa sets, glass topped coffee tables, office furniture, dining tables, which embrace genres as varied as rustic-wooden and tubular wrought iron, as well as elegant minimally carved bars, sideboards etc.

The look is a blend of tres contemporaire and new age to an occasional whiff of the Far Eastern Colonial style. An arresting shoe rack, which can double up as a dining table or bar or pretty `accent' fibre glass chairs too beckons.

Seating World's sofa sets definitely set standards of comfort and looks, be it an Indian assembled, non-spring micro fabric upholstered one or large Japanese leather upholstered sofa arrangements. The Indian sofa sets have a designer look with suede finish and in shades of grey, beige, wine red and blue. The glass topped coffee and centre tables are a classy combination of glass, wood, wrought iron and cane.

Again, minimalism in design is the mantra, especially when it comes to curves and fineness of line. The dining table sets vary from wrought iron tubular settings to lovely Malaysian teak six-seaters and rustic finish tables with matching chairs. Also available are sideboards and wine cabinets from Malaysia.

The bedroom furniture range includes wrought iron single and double beds with matching bedside tables, and beautiful wooden almirahs from Malaysia.

The office furniture items comprise well-finished corporate tables and executive chairs, swivel chairs and so on.

And for that siesta hour or relaxing time at office or home, one can choose from a range of attractive recliners.

The exhibition-cum-sale, which opens today, is on at Seating World, 420, Kilpauk Garden Colony. It concludes on September 2.
