Not averse to new ventures

BOLLYWOOD ACTRESS Rani Mukherjee, who has just recently showed her histrionic talents not on the silver screen but in the video album of Adnan Sami, is not averse to trying out new ventures. The damsel, who stole many a heart with her fine performance in the song, `Aati Kya Khandala', was in New Delhi this past week. First to oblige a few shutterbugs as T-Series' "Tera Chehra" was released. Rani is seen in the album's promos, her figure appearing appealing from the cut-glass.

Then she took time out had a freewheeling conversation with President of Asian Academy of Film and Television, Sandeep Marwah. They deliberated on matters of professional interest.

In a candid talk Rani Mukherjee admitted that it is a shade early to talk of the high points in her acting career and added that every role was equally important to her. She always endeavours to give her best shot even if the film is of a small banner and does not reserve her best for big banners. She inquired about the growth of the Film City as well as the training opportunity being offered by the Asian Academy of Film and TV. On being given an in-depth answer on the progress being made in film making Rani Mukherjee promised that one day she might act in Noida Film City. She talked about her lesser known singing and dancing talents.

Rani was open to the idea of working with first-time film directors, if they have scripts which give refreshing approach to cinematic expression. We wait for the woman of `Tera Chehra' to show her face again. In a new film, at a new place.
