Chan still a draw

JACKIE CHAN'S latest film, `Tuxedo', has zoomed to the `Number Two' slot in the U.S.-- Top Ten, a week after its September release, proving that the comic antics of the `Rush Hour' star are still a big draw.

The top spot went to `Sweet Home Alabama', in which Reese Witherspoon is torn between her love for her redneck husband, and a city slicker boyfriend.

Shekhar Kapur's `Four Feathers' was at Number Six, while Manoj Night Shyamalan's `Signs' had slipped to Number Nine, but still stayed at the Top Ten, weeks after release. Two Indian directors in the Top Ten! It speaks well for Indian talent in the world of entertainment.

Hot tips:

-- `Album', `University' and `Five Star' provide a triple treat for young Tamil viewers.

-- `Zindagi Khoobsurat Hai' presents the offbeat pair, Tabu and Gurdas Maan, in a touching story.
