OF late, the proliferation of cars, motorbikes, scooters and other huge vehicles are the result of cheap credit facilities that are the order of the day in this consumerist world. We do have to pay a price - traffic jam, accidents and pollution. The importance of bicycle is forgotten as it is considered a poor man's vehicle. In China, the popular mode of travel is bicycle and the latest trends here also show an increased favour for cycling, for exercising, but this should also be used as a popular mode of travel.
