Drive to Disaster - Pollution on city roads

Telling statistics

MOTHER nature was once safe, but today with the process of urbanisation, it is a different story altogether.

A recent survey by the National Environment Engineering Research Institute reveals that

* 9.01 lakh people suffer from asthma.

* 87,000 visit emergency health care due to pollution.

* 2.2 lakh children have chronic bronchitis.

* 5800 people have respiratory problems.

With improved technology, such inevitables have to be smartly tackled to make roads a better place to drive on.
