Strict rules needed

THE signal turns green and one can hear the engines roar. I am suddenly engulfed by the cloud of smoke from the exhaust. Yes, planet Earth is slowly drifting to doomsday as a result of CO emissions from automobiles. Attacking this problem at the micro-level will help reduce the tyranny of modern urbanisation. Strict enforcement of rules for obtaining the pollution-control-certificate and a generous dose of awareness are the need of the hour.
