Drive to Disaster - Pollution on city roads

Is this our culture?

HAVE we already learnt to live with noise and air pollution? Blaring horns, loud speakers on busy roads, toxic smoke from heavy vehicles, burning of refuse, people urinating on the road sides, the reckless act of breaking pumpkins on roads, and throwing flowers and garlands on the road while carrying dead bodies on religious grounds. Sadly we compromise on road safety and pollution when it comes to religious sentiments. These white pumpkins can be a threat to two wheelers and the aged! When will we learn to be practical?
