Teach them young
INSCAPE GARDEN plans to create awareness in school children about the importance of planting trees. It is launching a drive on Children's Day by offering 500 saplings to schools interested in the green cause.
The idea behind giving saplings free to schools is to educate the younger generation about the benefits of greening the environment.
School Principals could depute their school captains to collect the saplings before November 14 to facilitate planting them on the respective campuses on Children's Day.
Inscape's mission is to make children participate in its campaign to save Planet Earth. Each child should feel that he or she has contributed towards creating a healthier environment.
And the first step in this endeavour is to start with the school campus, which will be a canopy of green in a few years.
