Road No. 3, Banjara Hills beats all other streets as the best for a true epicurean experience.

TRADITIONAL ANDHRA: Southern Spice
IT IS food, food and more food at Road No. 3, Banjara Hills. A connoisseur's choice for an epicurean experience, the street is infested with restaurants, takeaways, cafes and bandis, popping up at an alarming regularity.
Orchid, about 12 years ago was the first one in the area. The others realised the potential of the place years later, and then there was a flood. Eateries flooded Road No. 3 transforming it into a veritable gourmet's street. From multi-cuisine Maxim to Gallopin' Gooseberries, the area has since then caught on with the food fad.
With about top ten eateries in town serving food in the kilometre-long stretch, the street can easily boast to be largest stretch in food joints, in the twin cities. Offering a diverse choice of food items, each is distinctly different from the other in taste and tang.
A `foodie' can actually spend a whole day in the area, just hogging on the sumptuous delights offered in the array. An elaborate breakfast at Southern Spice. To follow it up a little ahead is Pizza Corner that can offer a quick bite for a post breakfast session. A wholesome mid-day meal can be had either at Chutney's or Maxim, depending on individual preference and purse.
Window-shop around the UCB, Nike or Reebok store to digest the lunch. Look up at the sky and turn around. There's Café Coffee Day in sight. How about a cuppa to ward off the sleep?

If you are already there in Road No. 3, surely you cannot afford to miss Gallopin' Gooseberries - one of the newest in the area - for a grab of an evening snack. Almond House in the area should be just the right choice to indulge in a `sweetie' temptation to whet the appetite for dinner.
Two places still not visited - Orchid and Hyderabad House. Well, you can dine at Orchid and take away a parcel for your folks at home from Hyderabad House.
You have seen most of it all... the gourmet's street.
But make sure, you come back again tomorrow, for Narsingh's panipuris and aloo tikka is irresistible.
And so is Ahmed's chicken manchuria at the bandi called `Chinese on Wheels'.
The epicurean experience would be incomplete without a bite at these roadside shacks, which cater to as many customers as the number, in the swanky restaurants.
