A self-taught artist and Reiki healer, Beena Unnikrishnan's art school `Srishty' offers courses on different mediums and techniques.

FOR BEENA Unnikrishnan, a self-taught artist and a Reiki healer, `Srishty' has been a dream project.
Located on Casa Major Road, this `home of innovators' was started in January 2003, with the intention of reviving traditional design forms, besides modern techniques.
"At present, everybody seems to neglect tradition," says Unnikrishnan. Her art school offers courses on different mediums and techniques.
A graduate in Chemistry, Unnikrishnan has travelled extensively in the country with her husband, an Army General. This has helped her get familiar with the culture of people in different States.
Srishty has artists from Assam, Rajasthan and Thanjavur who are adept at traditional art forms. They undertake painting projects for star hotels, corporates and homes apart from creating and digitising corporate logos, brochures, product branding, catalogues, annual reports, etc.
