WRINKLES ARE a woman's nightmare for wrinkles indicate approaching old age. The facial muscles are made of fibrous tissue. Each muscle can have from 3 to 165 tissues and each tissue is alive and functions independently. When the tissue gets less oil wrinkles develop on the skin. Sufficient physical activity and exercise enables normal circulation of blood. Exercise prevents any obstruction to the supply of oil through ducts. Good sleep rids tissues of tiredness. A diet rich in proteins and vitamins is advised. Nearly all vitamins can be had from green vegetables, fresh fruits and butter. Lemon and orange provide adequate amounts of Vitamin C. Vitamin B- Complex capsules are recommended in the initial stages of wrinkle formation.
For folks who are fifty plus a multi vitamin is recommended daily for short periods. To keep the tissues alive, do not let the skin remain dry. Hence cream and oil are essential. They remove dryness and provide the deficient body oil.
Oil acts as a good lubricant. An occasional light massage helps eliminate wrinkles. Woman above 30 should massage their neck and face daily. An application of `multanimatti' (potter's earth) and sandalwood powder together with rose water and glycerine makes an effective facemask. Let it dry before washing it off with cold water. This mask followed by a light massage prevents the skin tissues from hardening and provides the required moisture. The facemask helps widen the blood vessels under the skin thus rejuvenating it. In other words it activates the skin and lessens wrinkles.
Another effective home remedy to rid wrinkles is a paste of gram flour and water. Areas around the eyes must be carefully avoided while applying these facemasks as the skin there is very fine. Application of cream or lotion too around the eye zone is not advisable. Never massage the skin there. Almond oil, mixed with honey is gentle and suitable for the delicate eye zone. This can be used for the rest of the face too.
When wrinkles are very deep then the following treatment is recommended. Lower your face to a comfortable position over a bowl of boiling water. Cover your head with a towel and remain in that position for three minutes. Then apply olive oil or almond oil over your face. This helps control wrinkles. Besides these beauty tips, concentrate on proper nutrition and adequate mental and physical activity and you sure can keep wrinkles at bay!
