Inaugurated recently by Femina Miss India World, Ami Vashi, at R S Puram, InterGold, the largest diamond jewellery exporter in India, stocks a wide variety from rings, earrings and daily wear sets to spiritual and platinum jewellery.
Its Chief Executive Officer, Vijay Jain, said the company's strength is diamonds. "We have been looking at the Indian market for years. There is a great demand, but we want to give the people good quality jewellery, both formal and regular, at an affordable price. As far as Coimbatore is concerned, it is an exciting market. We made close to 25 trips to this city. We found that people here are aware of the changing fashion and the new market trends, but their diamond collections were very limited. Hence, we took the bold decision of a new diamond destination here."
He stated that InterGold, which is already present in ten cities, is basically a destination stall.
"Our jewellery caters to the taste of the modern woman looking for fashionable and wearable designs to match her Indian and western wardrobe. We have designed our pieces and our showroom to their taste, as per international standards. To Coimbatore, we have not only brought international quality designs, but also a wide spectrum of spiritual, trendy yet classy and heavy sets as well."
Mr Jain added that there is jewellery for everybody. "We are not only looking at the younger generation, but the older people as well. There are beautiful pieces for every generation."
He said they are also keen to make a mark among the men. At last, someone has thought about the men out here. "Men have started wearing jewellery now, especially Indian male. Their mentality is fast changing. We offer a trendy range with subtle, stylish pieces to give them the `Look'.
