Wear your attitude

Add some colour to your wardrobe, this summer. Check out the wide range of garments at the exclusive Color Plus counter at The Raymond showroom.

Color Plus, a domestic brand that specialises in wrinkle-free and stain-free garments, is now available exclusively at the Raymond showroom on MG Road in the city. Colour Plus has brought out its latest summer collection of trousers, shirts and accessories. Though, the brand targets an up-market clientele, the casuals are not much expensive.

"Color Plus stresses on checks and stripes, offering subtle shades for both formal and casual wears. Ours is the only outlet in the city that deals exclusively in branded formal and casual lines in men's wear. The checks are doing very well. This season, Color Plus has introduced lightweight, `denim finish' trousers. The Park Avenue range of suits -- the single breasted-three-button designs -- are fast moving," says Deepak Kataria, manager of the showroom.

This season sees a lot of experiment with new colours, patterns and prints. The keyword is comfort. The fabric is essentially cotton.

The men's wear in Indigo Collection undergoes a metamorphosis. Classic cuts in shirts and trousers have set the trend for summer 2003. It sees a revival of checks, both small and big, while multi-coloured bold stripes (`Abacus' range) make a comeback. The garments are golf-ball washed, that is, specially patented golf balls are used in washing the Color Plus fabrics to enhance softness. A chemical fabric protection textile finish is applied to the fabrics making them stain-free.

These bright-striped shirts are available in shades such as Magma, Spice, Channel and Celius. The denim finish cotton trousers, mostly in shades of blue, are priced between Rs. 1,400 and Rs. 1,900. They include shades such as Viking, Crescent, Blue Jay, and Ballad. The shirts come in half-sleeves and full-sleeves, and are priced at Rs. 891 upwards.

The pleated chinos available in around 20 shades, mostly light, are priced at Rs. 1,430. The plain front trousers are priced at Rs. 1,755.

`Survival Gear', the ultimate all-terrain travel clothes from Color Plus stable, is available at Rs. 900.

The caps are priced at Rs. 298 and leather wallets come in the range of Rs. 400 and above. Credit card/bags carry a price tag of Rs. 891.

Color Plus socks are priced at Rs. 135 and are made of Lycra.

An interesting feature of these socks is that they have an anti-bacterial finish, which keeps the feet fresh all day long.

The collared tees are available in plains, stripes and prints. The showroom also undertakes tailoring of Raymond's fabrics. Sherwanis are made-to-order and will cost about Rs. 3,000.

So, make your own fashion statement this summer.

And if dressing truly `maketh a man', Thiruvananthapuram, your time has come!
