An eye-opener

Children at the SOS Children's Village (India Centre) had a wonderful experience after attending a course by Triguna Foundation.

TRIGUNA FOUNDATION — a city-based personality development and eye-care centre, conducted a weeklong programme recently for the orphan-children of the SOS Children's Village (India Centre) at Bheemunipatnam, Visakhapatnam.

The children were given lessons on building up self-esteem by improving their public speaking skills.

Stress was laid on improving articulation, comprehension, and their writing skills by using mind-power techniques. In addition to that, proper counselling was also given to the children to boost their confidence levels.

According to Triguna Foundation's director, N. Sarwabhouma, "The children experienced a wonderful transformation and results were outstanding. Each child spoke so confidently on the dais, in front of distinguished guests after the workshop, that even the institute director, Varadarajan, was pleasantly surprised."

The students acknowledged that the mind-power techniques not only helped them to reduce their stress and strain, but increased memory and improved concentration levels. "Remarkable behavioural changes were noticed in the children after they attended the programme," says Sarwabhouma.
