One was the news that it had snowed in the United Arab Emirates and that there were reports of grass growing in Antarctica. Though th ese two phenomena were more or less ignored by the media, climate experts and environmentalists were quick to offer them as proof that the earth's climate was changing. They pointed out that these events were in sync with the Malidivian Government's claim that the islands were sinking due to rising oceans. To further substantiate this claim, the British Government now plans to erect a new 10-mile flood barrier across the Thames to save London if sea levels rise. So is the climate really changing
