Exhibition of handicrafts and handlooms at Vijaya Mahal

Here's an exhibition that showcases the rich craft heritage of the country. Organised by Poompuhar, The Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation, at Vijaya Mahal, No. 33, Sir Thyagaraya Road, Pondy Bazaar,

T. Nagar, the Craft Bazaar features panchaloha idols, brass lamps, Tanjore art plates, Jaipur paintings, papier mache dolls, teak puja mandapams, intricately crafted cradles and dining tables, carpets from Kashmir and terracotta artefacts.

The saris from Madurai, Varanasi, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan are a special attraction here. Besides, one can choose from handlooms sourced from various States. A 10 per cent discount is being offered on the entire range.The exhibition-cum-sale is on till July 27, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
