For an Italian dinner

Want to have a taste of the traditionally baked pizzas with natural ingredients? Well, find your way to Vera Pizza, a fast food chain recently started by Tonino at Cyber Green in Gurgaon. With paintings and interior dιcor you will find so Italian, the aroma of all kinds of soups and freshly-baked pizzas in wood fire ovens can make you feel at once that the effort is worth it. For starters, you must try the soups - zuppa di pomodoro e pepperoni and minestrone con fagioli made of white beans, roasted tomato, pepper and fresh basil. Also there are some interesting salads like insalata mista di stagione and insalata caesar, a seasonal salad of tomato, anchovies, sweet pepper, cucumber and broccoli.

In pizzas, if you are a vegetarian, then go for margherita, provencale piccante, funghi di bosco or quattro formaggi pesto prepared with tomato, mozzarella, assorted mushrooms, gorgonzola and pesto. Among non-vegetarian selections, try salumi piccante (pepperoni), calzone quattro di stagione and bismarck.

Pastas too

How can an Italian food spread be complete without serving pastas? You have interesting varieties like lasagna primavera, penne con pollo pesto with pesto sauce and chicken. Says Chef Suman, "We provide our customers with traditionally baked pizzas from the wood fire oven, which gives them a smoky flavour with all natural ingredients imported from Italy. All the dishes are prepared using olive oil." Of course, the meal is incomplete without dolci, dessert in Italian. So take a bite of the popular coffee-flavoured cheese cake, tiramisu or lasagna di ciocolata, a dark white chocolate cake topped with chocolate ganache and chocolate flakes served warm.

"We charge 10 per cent extra in comparison to other outlets to provide our customers with the best quality pizzas," says the owner Parmeet Sawhney.
