Exhibition of Ganesha artefacts in various forms and sizes

With Vinayaka Chaturthi a few days away, Poompuhar, the Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation, is holding an exhibition-cum-sale titled "Ganapathi Darisanam" at its showroom on Anna Salai till August 26, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The display features the elephant god in various poses and materials such as panchaloha, brass, sandalwood, granite, marble, papier mache and terracotta. A 10 per cent discount is being offered. Besides, there are Tanjore art plates and paintings and lamps to choose from.
Crafts galore
Srushti, the Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Artisans Welfare Association, showcases a range of crafts sourced from different parts of the country at its emporium at 86, Chamiers Road, Sudarsan Building, Alwarpet.
The display includes rosewood swings, dining table sets, corner and centre tables, inlay panels, wooden dividers, bronze icons, Tanjore and Rajasthani paintings, brass lamps, bell metal artefacts and pearl jewellery.
The products are priced between Rs. 20 and Rs. 1.5 lakh.
A 10 per cent discount is being offered on the entire range. The exhibition is on till August 27, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
